Second thought on Yuki's story MMD

After trying out Comipo on my first day and trying to get the modded packs, I’m somewhat disappointed. It does have nice textures and smooth modeling along with rigging and create poses, but it has way less customization on appearance. It does have about eight hairs for male and female, and same with cloths, and the eyes and facial look are limited as well as the eye style and the colors for each of them. The accessories at least have a lot of options and it’s easy to assign it to the character to hold an itel or attach it to their body, and it’s pretty simple whereas MMD, you would have to load it as .x object and you would have to manually assign it and adjust the size and position without overlapping it. Comipo looks like it does have enough features to create manga style gallery, but what it lacks is small amount on customization on characters and only the special packs adds only clothes and accessories. I know you can get mods to have more hair and others added to the program, but they are considered external sources and I couldn’t get some of them to show up so it was pretty difficult. I know you can save altered character as snaps but even with mods, there isn’t a lot to choose from that would look close to my kisekae snapshot or my current MMD models. Also, I don’t think there is a easy way to port there models to MMD and I know it’s proprietary, but we do need more customization to have our choices of what we want our own characters to look just like Sims games and 3D Custom Girl. I like how it has more male character customization than what MMD community has offered as well as smooth and compatible modeling and rigging, but it still has less customization.

Yesterday, I said that I would switch out MMD if I find this useful, but I was just surprised when I heard of Comipo and saw how beautiful the characters and art style looks with manga style options. What I plan to do is redo all my models from Yuki’s Story and kinda replicate the style of Comipo and try to smooth the rigging and model detail. I like 3D Custom Girl for creating female characters to port to MMD, but it is a H-game which I usually avoid nasty stuff, and the model detail as well as rigging sometimes doesn’t look right. I will retexture them and remodel the hairs too. It may take a week or two to do all existing characters and modernize them. They will have their new look starting with the 30 second animation and chapter 5 of MMD adaption. Also, I would have to remodel the suits and simple clothes of male characters as finding them is hard to have the bones working and not destroying the rigging. Let’s see how this new progress will take.
