  • Progress as of late September 2018

So it’s been long since I post about my progress. Now as of today, Yuki’s Story Chapter 73 is just posted and a new MMD video is posted yesterday. I’ll explain the thoughts I have so far on the progress.

Yuki’s Story. I read a few old chapters, and realized that one of the reasons why I used to post them averagely twice or thrice a week is because most of the old ones from two or three years ago has half the lines of current ones. While some chapters I thought were rushed, it is the length that could be another reason as well as improving the quality of new chapters. I was able to do Chapter 73 in a few days because I got back to think about a strong story that doesn’t need to take long. Long chapters aren’t a bad thing, but with more projects to do, it is important to think about how to send finished projects more often without sacrificing the quality overall. I decide to do what’s best for me and to think cool and awesome stories in Yuki’s Story.

I’m been thinking about re-reading the entire series again and already had few old chapters revived and ready to be posted here. I think re-reading the old chapters and knowing how the series has become, it’s important to touch and revive them for a better story and setting measurements. The old chapters and Yuki’s Story was just the beginning of me making original stories for the first time. More of that should be posted in the rest of the year.

As for MMD version, I am going back to make Chapter 12 starting this weekend. It is close to the end of the first season. It should last up to near the end of October. Chapter 13 will be the end of the season. For the ONA, I am in the middle of the draft and I feel like I would have it posted in winter 2019. I did say this holidays, but because how long I did with my last MMD video recently, it is gonna be another harder challenge than Ash’s Vacation as well as waiting for more equipments to do this ONA. After finishing Season 1 of MMD Yuki’s Story, I will make a Special that has more pages that covers some of the last ¾ths of the first season of Yuki’s Story Chapters. The series entirely will last until somewhere in 2019 this time. Season 2 of MMD version will have each of the arcs as chapters.

On other MMD news, I am gonna make a Randomness 9 and I already have some ideas. Shouldn’t take long as much as the Ladybug video or Ash’s Vacation since it’s randomness. Also, I want to touch back in making new models because I want to make new models for Lucky Star and improve the visuals than what I had last year. After next randomness, a new video about Iris will come back.

What about tech news? I just posted about GBA and color correction methods. I made it today to show how to do a proper color correction with color values and steps of gamma correction involved.

That is it. I’ll have a good time!

  • [MMD XY / Ladybug] Miraculous Dreams

In Kalos, there are random stories in Miraculous Ladybug world where things get strange. See stories about Chloe, Marinette, Adrien, and Elio and Selene.

Most of the segments are based on the dreams I had about Ladybug. 10 segments are in the video.

    BTS video comes later on.

Music credits are in the description.

  • Yuki’s Story Chapter 73 - Yuki’s Offer

    Chapter 73
Yuki is practising running at the track and jumping over the signs. She gives herself more effort to run as fast as she can.
She runs back to the starting line to talk to Minoru.
Yuki: I feeling the energy, Minoru!
Minoru: Cool! You’re really showing how fast you can go.
Yuki: Yeah. I’m playing baseball this Friday after school.
Minoru: I knew you would join. I wanna join to the team too, even though I am not the best one. I just want to play with you in the games.
Yuki: Totally. If you feel like you need to, go ahead. It’s good to try. I know you won’t let the team down. We’re a team.
    Minoru: Yeah. Thanks, Yuki.
Later, Yuki and Minoru are walking during their break. They are drinking water at the bench.
    Minoru: So what is next?
    Yuki: Hmm. I’m feeling basketball.
    Minoru: Cool.
    Yuki sees Leo passing by.
    Leo: Hey Yuki.
Yuki: Hey dude. So you’re up for baseball this Friday?
    Leo: Yep.
    Yuki: That’s great!
Leo: I’ll be at the tennis court.
    Yuki: All right.
    He leaves.
Later, when school is over, Yuki and Minoru came out by the locker rooms and walk together.
Minoru: This game is Ayano’s first game.
Yuki: Yeah. Looks like we are going to win. We’re playing against another school here.
    Minoru: That’s what I heard.
They see Lia and Kyanna at the bench.
    Lia: Yuki!
    Yuki: Hey guys!
Minoru: I can’t wait until the game.
Kyanna: So are we. Umm, Leo just came here a moment ago. He was talking to me, but can’t finish the sentence and then he says goodbye.
    Minoru: Hmm.
Lia: Maybe he’s in a rush.
Yuki: Probably. I’m friends with him, so we’ll see.
The next day at morning, Yuki talks to her fans about the game.
Yuki: The game is gonna be great. We got good team, and we have each on the good spot.
    Boy1: Let’s hope we win.
Yuki: We will. Our team here is rocking solid. I ran several miles yesterday with full energy!
Minoru: It is important to be the best of ourselves and get along. That’s important for any team.
    Yuki: Yeah.
Boy2: It is our only big game before the summer break.
    Girl1: It’s a month away.
A while later, Yuki and Minoru sees Leo sitting at the bench. They talk to him.
    Yuki: Hey Leo.
    Leo: Hey guys.
Minoru: So, what happened with Kyanna?
    Leo: Well, I just…it’s kinda…silly.
    Yuki: What’s silly?
    Leo: I like her.
Minoru: You have a crush on her?
Leo: I’m kinda afraid to talk to her. I didn’t mean to run off yesterday.
Yuki: Dude, she is not a bad person.
Minoru: She’s pretty nice. We’re friends with her.
Leo: Even that, I want to go out with her or make her happy.
Yuki: Kyanna is single. Also, you and her are in our team for baseball.
Minoru: You shouldn’t be afraid. I know how you feel, but Kyanna doesn’t think anyone is weird.
    Yuki: Except Team Phase.
Leo: Well, I think you both really got me relaxed about this. I think I will talk to her.
Minoru: Good. She’s by the main door, talking with her friends.
Leo: All right. I’ll go ahead.
    Yuki: Run!
    Leo runs out.
Minoru: I think he is gonna have a great time with her.
Yuki: Yep! It’s always best to have you spirits up!
Meanwhile, Hiroshi is hiding at the bush and eavesdrops both of them.
Later during lunch break, Leo went to the table, waiting for Kyanna, and then Hiroshi sits at the table.
    Hiroshi: Hello, Leo!
Leo: What are you doing here?! What do you want for me?
Hiroshi: You helped Yuki out to save Rin and also you guys got us in deep trouble. Our team got disband and lost our room.
Leo: You guys did the trouble yourselves.
Hiroshi: I will do something to all of you guys one day.
Leo: I would like to see you try!
Kyanna came and sees Hiroshi at the table.
Kyanna: Get out! I know about you and your friends!
Hiroshi: You didn’t join our team when it was alive!
    Kyanna: Yuki told us everything.
Hiroshi: I know. All of us know.
    Leo: Go some place else!
    Hiroshi stands up.
Hiroshi: We know you guys are excited for the game, but don’t expect to win!
    Kyanna: You take that back!
Hiroshi: Don’t forget, Leo! We will be watchin you and Yuki, at all times!
    He leaves.
    Leo: He just came.
Kyanna: That idiot at least left.
Leo: Yeah. So how do you feel about the game?
Kyanna: Everyone is happy about it. I am in the team.
    Leo: Same here.
At the classroom, a lot of the fans talk to her about the game.
Boy1: So how is the game set up?
Yuki: The game starts half an hour after school and not only that we’re playing against another school, but a lot of good teams has formed here.
Minoru: It’s best I just watch. I’m nervous about playing a big game.
Yuki: You don’t have to be a player. You can be one of the managers during the game only.
    Minoru: That’s better.
Yuki: By the way, we gathered cheerleaders and sports reviewers to be on our game.
    Boy2: Cool!
    Girl1: Are you a leader?
Yuki: I’m not the captain. The coach is.
Later after school, Yuki walks out from the building and sees Leo.
    Leo: Yuki!
    Yuki runs to him.
    Yuki: Yes, Leo?
Leo: I got a terrible feeling. Team Phase are watching us!
    Yuki: All of us?
Leo: Both of us and your friends too because we bust them few weeks ago.
    Yuki: How did this happened?
Leo: Hiroshi came to my table when I was waiting for Kyanna because I asked her to have lunch with me, and Hiroshi told me that he and his crew will be watching us at all times. I told him to get away and so as Kyanna.
Yuki: They like to scare everyone.
Leo: Not just that, but he said not to expect our team to win for the game and I feel like they are gonna sabotage us!
Yuki: I know how good they were on spying.
Leo: I don’t want to embarrass myself because they might play a prank on me or you, or do something worse on the team!
Yuki: We don’t know what they are actually planning, but sounds like it.
Leo: I kinda don’t want to be involved with them, so I don’t know if I want to play.
    Yuki: Really?! You must play.
    Leo: What about them?
Yuki: You know how hard we all practised on gym class? You really want to leave the team?
    Leo: Well…
Yuki: You shouldn’t! No matter how much dirtbags like Team Phase come to ruin the fun, we cannot give up right away! If you quit, all if us are wondering why you left, and we know you’re good at pitching! We need you!
Leo: Yeah, but it’s a big game.
Yuki: Of course, but even though we can speculate that they will ruin our game, we must do what we planned! You should not fear about this, and if you decide to quit, what will Kyanna think about you?
Leo: She likes the team so much.
Yuki: Exactly. My words would be also said by her too. What did she think about the team?
Leo: She thinks we are good players.
Yuki: Yes! So, we are gonna have a good game. All of us!
Leo: You’re right. I was just paranoid.
Yuki: We know how Team Phase are like, and I’ll deal with them tomorrow and show who’s boss.
    Leo: Cool.
The next day during lunch, Yuki, Minoru, and Leo are at the front gate outside and sees Team Phase having lunch at the bench.
    Yuki: Just watch.
    Yuki walks to them.
    Yuki: Watching us?
Hiroshi: Yuki, what are you doing here?
    Lila: Get out of here!
Yuki: Don’t like the team? Still watching on us?
Hiroshi: We don’t care about the game.
Kaname: FYI, we don’t plan to do something to the team, so go out and have your own lunch.
Hiroshi: We are watching you guys. You screwed us all!
Yuki: Since you are, I have something for you guys.
Yuki gives out a huge burp.
Touko: Hey! We’re having lunch here!
Mizuro: Go be gross somewhere else!
    Yuki: All right.
She walks back to Minoru and Leo.
Leo: Wow! They deserve this moment.
    Yuki: Totally.
    Minoru: Are they planning something?
Yuki: They said they have no interest in sabotaging the team.
    Minoru: Most likely the truth.
Yuki: Let’s get back to the classroom for the meals.
They have fun in the classroom during break and talked so much about the game.
At friday after school, Rin and Retasu are wearing cheerleader outfits.
Rin: The new outfit feels soft and smooth.
Retasu: Yep. Just in time for the game.
    They see Ayano coming.
    Ayano: Hey ladies!
    Retasu: Ready for the game?
Ayano: Yes! I’ve practised running more, thanks to Yuki.
Later at the baseball field, the team are at the waiting bench.
All the players grab the gloves and baseball bats.
Yuki: This is gonna be one of our greatest moments in the game!
    All: YES!
Minoru: I got some bottles here and towels folded.
The team went to the field and goes in their positions.
    Ayano starts first.
A visitor team member pitches the ball to Ayano and she hits it.
Ayano starts running and stops at the second spot.
    Ayano: Fujiwara, here I am!
    Leo comes up to pitch.
The other team throws the ball to Leo and he hits it. He runs to the first spot while Ayano goes to the third spot.
    Leo: I made it.
Lia is at the bench, getting up.
    Lia: Watch this!
She comes out to the field and waits for a pitch.
A ball goes to her and she hits it high that she, Leo, and Ayano runs to the main spot and Fujiwara team got three scores.
    Minoru: All right!
    Yuki: There they go!
The crowds are clapping, and the cheerleaders are cheering.
    Rin: Go Fujiwara!
    Retasu: You got this!
The team comes back to the bench.
Lia: I bring you guys three points!
    Yuki: Cool!
Yuki comes out and waits for a pitch.
A whistle blows and the other team throws a ball and Yuki hits it. She runs to the third spot.
Another teammate comes and misses the ball.
He hits it on the second try, and he went to the first spot while Yuki goes to the main spot.
    Yuki: Fourth point!
A while later, Kyanna pitches the ball to another team. The ball is hit and Ayano runs to get the ball. She got it, which leaves the player at the second spot.
Yuki catches the ball and stops another player by the first spot.
Later, Yuki is at the final round, and she hits the ball fast and she is running. By the second spot, she sees the other team catch the ball and tosses it around the third spot, and decides to stop there.
Yuki: Things are heating up. Third spot is risky.
Leo comes out and hits the ball. He runs while the ball is flying to the third spot when Yuki just passed it. Yuki is heading to the main spot and the team threw the ball by there and Yuki slides to the spot half a second before the ball is at the spot.
Yuki: Close call! Still another point.
Minoru sees Leo at the second spot.
    Minoru: We have 9-7 now.
    Ayano: We’re getting close.
Boy1 comes out and waits for the ball. It comes to him and hits the ball. Leo runs and Boy1 runs to the second spot. The other team got the ball and were aiming to get him while Leo made it.
    Leo: Yeah!
    Boy1: Way a go!
    Team Fujiwara won!
The crowds are cheering and even the teams are.
    Minoru: It’s a great game!
    Ayano: Yeah!
Kyanna: That was a great game.
    Yuki: It is.
Ayano: Have you hit the ball out of court before?
Yuki: Yeah, but at times. I mostly go far in the court. Playing against another school varies by difficulty.
Leo: And we won. It is a bigger game than us playing alone.
    Kyanna: Correct!
Later, the crowds are talking to the team and everyone is happy.
Leo is at the bench and Kyanna comes in.
Kyanna: It is a great day today.
    Leo: Hehe. It is.
Kyanna: So after we get dressed, want to go out to a park and have some food? As a date?
Leo: Umm, sure. I love to.
Yuki, while being in a crowd, she sees Leo and Kyanna talking. He sees her too.
Yuki decides to give a thumbs up and Leo sees it. He smiles.
The team talks to the other team, saying they had fun competing today.
Minoru: The other team are pretty nice.
    Ayano: That’s good.

    Next Chapter: Yuki’s Promotion
In her job, Yuki wants to find something more interesting on her job. The cosplayers are acting for a video, and Yuki wants to join in to show that she can do stunts all herself. The boss wants to see how Yuki is capable of doing more activities as a performer. How will this end up? Tune in next time!

I made a conversion list for developers who are implementing color correction to their software. This is specifically about how the GBA-Color shaders or Color-Mangler shader performs. Most of the color shaders are based on Color-Mangler shader.

The top one shows how it’s converted correctly. The conversion is explained.

    Color-Mangler has multiple conversions.

First, it changes the gamma to 2.2 on the image, so it is darker. It is from Target_Gamma command that darkens it.

Then, we have the color values, RGB ones, luminance, saturation, and contrast applied before reversing the gamma on the next step. It is set on a dark image from the first step.

Finally, we have Display_Gamma command that does the gamma conversion on the processed image. It does reverse the gamma, so it does divide 1 with whatever the number it is set on Display_Gamma, like 2.2. (½.2) = 0.4545…

This is a similar process that the .icc profiles do on applications to have correct brightness on the colors with color correction on the image. As you can see on the final image, the color primaries have better luma levels. As you can see on the final and right image, that’s how the GBA looks when I used the actual hardware.

So here are the wrong process ones:

    1. On the middle of the photo, it only does color correction with the same RGB values from the shaders above, but without gamma conversion involved. It is the same effect if you set both Target_Gamma and Display_Gamma to 1.0 to not have any gamma conversion.

It causes darker colors overall, and it is more noticable on the primary colors such as pure red, green, and blue. I’ve seen this conversion on apps like Gambatte and Sameboy where the converted colors are darker on colors. The latter has darker greens and yellows, making them more noticably dark. The Zelda image may not look as dark, but that’s because the colors on those snapshots are not originally showing pure RGB colors.

    2. For color conversion, if you want to bring the primary colors to have the exact colors from the correct solution without using gamma conversion, you would have to put different values on each color values to have it exactly on the primary colors only.

However, because of that, along with the lack of gamma conversion, it causes unstable image. It looks too bright that clips through. Also, the greyscale are not grey at all, so colors are all over the place. This is even worse solution overall.

I know by doing color conversion with gamma involved, the color primaries change because it is supposed to look darker on the process in order to look great on the image overall. The gamma conversion is needed to retain both luminance and saturation from the original display to emulate well. .icc profiles does this approach since most displays only have gamma at 2.2, so it is needed.

  • Yuki’s Story Chapter 72 - Rin’s Bet

    Chapter 72
In the courtyard during lunch, Yuki is having food with her fans and Minoru.
One of the fans gives her a spicy sushi.
Boy1: Wanna taste the most spicy sushi?
    Yuki: You bet!
Yuki eats it and swallows it.
Boy1: Wow! You didn’t even spit it out or sweat.
Yuki: I ate plenty of spicy food before. They are far from intolerable for me.
    Boy2: Wow!
Minoru: You ate hot spicy chips before.
Yuki: Absolutely. Surprisingly, I was able to eat those.
    They clap for her.
Later after school, Yuki and Ryo are arm wrestling.
Yuki: I bet I will win this.
    Ryo: No way, Yuki.
Yuki: I can feel your strength.
    Ryo: Yours too.
    Yuki: But not as strong.
    Yuki beats Ryo.
    Ryo: Ahh?
Yuki: Sweet. Don’t worry. I can see that we’re becoming more competitive.
    Ryo: 2/3 on this challenge.
Yuki: Exactly. I don’t always win, but mostly on competitions. You’re almost becoming as strong as I am.
    Ryo: Ever compete with Minoru?
Yuki: He’s not a physical type for games, but on video games, we’re nearly on par.
    Ryo: I see.
The next day at school during gym class, Yuki plays softball with Rin.
    Yuki: Ready?
    Rin: Yes.
She pitches the ball to Rin, and she hits it.
Yuki hits it again and Rin misses the shot.
    Yuki: Score!
    Rin: Not again.
At the end of the game, Yuki win against Rin.
After school, Yuki, Minoru, and Rin walk out from the school.
Rin: This is the third week that I hardly get any shots.
Yuki: Yeah. At least you don’t miss the first few shots of each round.
Rin: I know, but you’re too of a high level for me.
Yuki: Then why you decide to compete against me?
Rin: I’m trying to do better in gym class, and want to be decent at softball.
Yuki: Losing is learning. You gotta find your instincts.
Minoru: Maybe find a more simple activity. You’re good at cheerleading.
Rin: Well, I can’t argue with that, but I want to do better on a few more.
    Yuki: For your grade.
Rin: Yes. You’ve been doing challenges lately.
Yuki: Oh yeah. I pretty much do interesting challenges.
Minoru: Remember you challenged Ryo on the sour candy?
Yuki: Super sour, yes. Turns out we tied. We liked those, so we didn’t break on that.
    Rin: Exactly.
Rin thinks on her head of how Yuki is made more interesting.
Rin: Yuki, I know some day, I will beat you on a challenge.
Yuki: It’s pretty hard for you to beat me, considering your level.
    Rin: No.
Yuki: Umm, how many challenge have you tried? Several times.
Rin: I bet that I will beat you on a challenge one day.
Yuki: And what is exactly your bet?
Rin: I bet that I can stay a character, being a tomboy for the entire day.
    Yuki laughs.
Yuki: Hahaha! Rin, are you serious? You’re willing to put that off?
Rin: I can guarantee that I can stay in character.
Minoru: It’s a hard challenge concerning we know about you.
Yuki: Yeah, you don’t even like the stuffs that I do. You’re very girly so it’s pretty hard to see you as a tomboy.
Rin: I can be one for a day to see how Yuki’s life is like.
    Yuki: Really?
Minoru: Why do you want to do that?
Rin: To show her that I can nearly be as good as her.
Yuki: It takes skills for physical activities.
Rin: It doesn’t have to be that all that sudden.
Yuki: Okay. I’ll have to judge you on that though.
Rin: That’s fine, and I will plan to see what happens if I win.
    Yuki: All right.
Minoru: Saturday is a good day.
    Rin: Exactly.
At Friday night, Rin is in her room, having her clothes for the bet. She is texting Yuki in the group chat.
    Rin: I am ready.
Yuki: Cool. So, did you plan what happens if you win or lose the challenge?
Rin: Yes, but I won’t reveal it until the end of the day.
    Yuki: Why?
Rin: It will be more fun that no one would know so my challenge won’t be affected.
Yuki: I see what you mean. Stop by my place at 10.
    Rin: You got it.
Rin puts her phone down and sees herself in the mirror.
Rin: All right. I can do this. Being a tomboy is like seeing how Yuki’s life is like, so I may learn more things. I just have to wear a ponytail and a cap.
In the morning, Rin quickly changes her hair style and changes clothes to simple stripes with black and white and jeans. She takes off her straps and went outside.
Rin: All I gotta act is a typical tomboy.
She went to Yuki’s house and knocks the door hard.
    Yuki opens the door.
    Yuki: Oh great. You’re ready.
Rin: Yes, Yuki. What do you want to do today?
Yuki: Actually, you should think about what do you want to do, in this moment.
Rin: I wanna play Softball. Let’s go out!
Yuki: The nearest court is most likely in use, so wanna get in before we head there?
    Rin: Yes!
A while later, Yuki, Rin, and Ryo are in Yuki’s room.
Yuki shows Rin a video game.
    Yuki: I got this game.
Rin: I heard it’s pretty gory.
Yuki: Exactly. Are you able to handle this game?
Rin: Well, it’s a mature rating.
Ryo: I got it and I decide to give it a share.
Yuki: Yep! You demanded hard games, so this is it.
Rin: (mind) It does look pretty violent.
    Yuki: I’ll put it on.
    Rin: Umm, sure.
In the game, Rin is the only one playing.
The character in the game slices foes with knives.
    Rin tries killing them.
Rin: Do they start with many of the foes?
Yuki: They do, but more will come later.
    Rin: It’s a bit challenging.
    Yuki: Yep.
Later, Minoru came and sees Yuki, Ryo, and Rin at the table.
    Minoru: Hey guys.
    Rin: Hey Minoru!
Minoru sees her as a different style.
Minoru: It seems that you are taking the challenge more serious.
Rin: That’s right. Today, we are going out and play softball.
    Minoru: That’s cool.
    Ryo: Is Retasu coming?
Minoru: She told me that she’ll come straight to the field.
Yuki: I saw that message just now.
    Ryo: Amazing.
Minoru: So, what did you do so far?
Rin: I played their new game. It’s a mature rating.
    Yuki: Slashing Collabs 5.
Minoru: Oh. How did you do on that?
Rin: Decent. Killing the mummy looking creatures and chopping the skeleton’s heads is all I did.
Yuki: Don’t forget you threw boulders at them.
    Rin: That too.
Later, they went to the tennis court, getting some softballs and tennis rackets.
Retasu shows up and runs to them.
    Retasu: Hey guys.
    Rin: Retasu, ready to play?
    Retasu: Yes.
Ryo: You and Minoru are playing against Rin.
Yuki: It’s best that to match her level, and you both are a perfect fit.
Retasu: And you’re playing against the two of us?
Rin: Yeah, because I want to take this the hard way for me.
Minoru: Wow. You’re really up for a challenge.
    Rin: Yep. Let’s move on.
    They are at the court.
    Rin: Ready?
    Minoru: Yes.
Rin pitches the ball, and Minoru hits it, and then Rin tries to hit it hard, and she hits it, and passes to Retasu, to Rin, to Minoru, and Rin tries to hit hard again, and she tries to hit it with full force, and she successfully hit it directly and Minoru misses it.
    Minoru: Hmm.
    Rin: Excellent!
Later at the last round, they play and Rin tries to hit the ball hard, but she hits it with light force.
Retasu hits it, and Rin is a little exhausted.
    Yuki: Exhausted?
Rin: No. I’ll play this round.
Rin is sweating a little and decide to focus on the ball.
Minoru passes the ball to her, and Rin hits the ball with full force, and Retasu misses the shot.
Retasu: Wow! You really improved a bit.
Minoru: You got 4 goals and we got 6.
Rin: Well, even though I lost, I still have fun playing. I no longer got one or two goals from you both.
    Ryo: That’s cool.
Yuki: I think your used to lack the force of hitting the ball and running too.
Rin: Now I realized how better I got today. I still want to play. This time, I’ll play with either Retasu or Minoru, depends who is more good at softball.
Minoru: Well, she plays more than I do.
Retasu: Yeah, I played them with my brothers before.
    Yuki: That sounds fun.
Rin plays with Retasu, and Rin did tie with Retasu.
Retasu: Wanna play a round, so that there is no tie?
    Rin: Sure.
Retasu passes the ball and Rin runs and hits the ball with medium force.
Retasu hits the ball hard and Rin watches the speed of the ball, and she hits it normally, and then Retasu passes it.
Rin gives another try and hits it hard and Retasu misses.
    Rin: Cool! I won!
Retasu: It looks like you had some skills from class.
Rin: Yeah, but I decide to play it as hard as I can. Looks like we’re almost as good. You have more experience.
    Retasu: Yeah.
Ryo: So, what are we doing next?
    Rin: To Yuki’s house!
As they walk, Rin sees a yard with a plastic pipe that is dirty.
Rin: Guys! Look at that pipe! Wanna see me get through it?
    Yuki: Sure.
    Minoru: All right.
Rin decides to lean down to the ground and goes inside the pipe, and she sees a lot more dirt there that she expected.
Rin: Umm, it’s all dirty, but I’m not giving up.
Rin tries to wipe away all the dirt with her hands to get through, and she comes out from the other end of the pipe.
Rin comes out with little dirt.
    Rin: Tada! I did it!
Retasu: You know it’s dirty inside, right?
Rin: Yeah, but I went through it.
    Ryo: Okay.
As they walk, they see a small spider behind Rin’s back, and Yuki grabs it and flings it out.
    Minoru: Good. It’s creepy.
    Yuki: I know.
At the house at the backyard, Rin tries on Rollerblades.
Rin: So how do I use it?
Yuki: Remember ice skating? I bet you would know about how to skate.
    Rin: Sure.
Rin runs around the yard, hoping she doesn’t fail.
    Rin: Cool! I’m doing it.
Minoru: It seems like you are starting to do it well.
Rin continues to run around, until she hit the tree branch and falls.
    Rin: OW!
Retasu: Rin, are you all right?
    Yuki picks her up.
    Yuki: You’re all right?
    Rin has few tears.
Rin: I’m hurt a little, but I can’t stop myself from crying.
A while later, Retasu checks up Rin and she doesn’t see any pains.
    Retasu: You’re all right.
    Rin: Cool.
They watch Minoru trying on Rollerblades.
Minoru: So how long did you have this?
Yuki: For a few years, but I had a few ones before that and donated them since the old ones don’t fit my feet anymore.
    Minoru: Sounds interesting.
Later, they went to the dining room and have lunch together.
Yuki: The meal looks really good!
    Minoru: Yeah!
Rin: So you enjoyed being a tomboy all your life?
Yuki: Well, yes. As a little kid since then, I find myself engaging on boy’s activities. I never find feminine activities fun for me, and so I do a couple of things that I enjoy. I always know that I am a girl, just in my own way.
Retasu: So as a kid, you act like a troublemaker?
Yuki: Oh yes. I pull some funny stuff and do some risk taking to do what I need to do for the class. As a kid, I wanted to be a ninja, and always practice a lot of moves, and I go out and get dirty and come home, smelling like spirit.
    Rin: Uhh, okay.
    Ryo: You still do.
Yuki: Because I love doing sport activities and geeking out. As a kid, I was the most hyper kid in the family, and running around.
    Minoru: Cool.
After they finished lunch, they went outside and do some activities with Rin.
After hanging out for the rest of the day, Yuki and Minoru went to Rin’s house while following her.
    They went to her room.
Rin: It was so fun today.
Yuki: You bet. You challenged yourself many times this evening.
Rin: Well, I was a hit and miss on those, but I did not give up.
Minoru: It was a fantastic experience, right?
Rin: I kinda see how those activities are really fun for you, Yuki.
Yuki: You bet. So many experiences for many years, I have.
Rin: And now I smell like spirit.
    Minoru covers his nose.
Minoru: So are you gonna shower?
Rin: Yeah. Well, it’s almost night, and I wanna end my challenge right here and you guys tell me the results when I come out.
    Yuki: Sure.
Minoru: Love to see what’s next.
Rin went to the bathroom and showers herself.
She comes out from the bathroom with her pyjamas.
Rin: So, what did you guys think about today?
Minoru: We thought you really know how to stay in character. You got good acting.
Yuki: And it shows that you are trying to be a tomboy for the day. Your results are interesting.
Rin: Cool. So looks like I won!
    Yuki: Yes, you have.
    Minoru: That’s cool.
Rin: It is! Remember what I said what happens if I win?
    Yuki: Oh yeah, tell us.
Rin: All right. You have to do it since I won.
Minoru: But first, what happened if you lost?
Rin: If I did, I would’ve have let Yuki pass gas in front of me.
    Yuki: I tried not to.
    Rin: And sometimes, you do.
Yuki: So what do you want me to do?
Rin: Well, are you up to play a feminine version of yourself? It has to be the entire day, tomorrow!
Yuki: Are you kidding me? I’m not good at playing girly.
Rin: Well, I won, so you have to.
Yuki: Fine, but can it be somewhere else, not in Sapporo? I don’t want anyone else to see me wear frilly dresses.
Rin: Just stop by here in the morning.
Yuki: It better be outside the town, and no photo taking.
The next day, they are at Rin’s house, and they see Yuki dressed with two pink bows in both sides on her hair, a hair extension on her sides, pink frilly dress, white leggings, and high heels. Rin laughs when she sees Yuki dressed this way.
Yuki: It’s not funny. This is totally embarrassing. I don’t even like high heels.
Rin: Well, you have to wear those as part of the bet.
Yuki: I have no idea how you got hair extensions, the ones for my sides.
Minoru: Can you walk well in high heels?
Yuki: Yes, but I can’t run.
Rin: Well, you can’t run in this bet.
    Yuki: That’s lame.
Rin: And you better not ruin my dress. I had fun playing my bet yesterday, so you should too.
    Yuki: We’ll see.
A while later, Yuki, Minoru, Rin, and Retasu are in Rin’s backyard.
Yuki plays a role of a girly character with a soft voice.
Yuki: Howie. Rin. it’s so good to meet you. Retasu, thanks for coming along. Minoru, you’re such a sweet boyfriend.
Rin: Hehe. Well, today is a sunny day.
    Yuki: Yes, Rin.
Yuki picks up the basket from the ground.
Yuki: I’ll go grab something special.
Yuki walks to the garden and looks at the iris flower.
Yuki: These are your favorit righ… (SNEEZE!)
Yuki walks backwards a little and steps on a rock on her right heel. As she is wearing high heels already, her right foot is unbalanced and trips to the ground and drops the basket to the ground. She goes back to her normal voice.
Yuki: I almost twisted my right foot. These heels are bothering me.
Rin: I hope the dress isn’t dirty.
Yuki stands up and Retasu sees that it’s fine.
    Retasu: It’s still looking good.
Minoru: I thought you know that flowers are your allergic reaction.
Yuki: I’m trying to play a role, but it’s not working out. I can’t do this.
Yuki takes off the hair extension from her sides and pins out the ribbons too.
Rin: Hey! You’re in a bet.
Yuki: This is just too silly and I can’t even go on without my feet getting squeezed.
    Retasu: Different size.
Rin: That’s all I have for the biggest high heels from my closet.
Yuki: Well, I’m sorry, but I can’t continue. I rarely give up, but I can’t think of what the girly character would usually do.
Rin: Fine. Let’s go back to my room.
A while, they talk about the bet. Yuki is already dressed back normally.
Minoru: It seems like Rin’s challenge went a lot great yesterday.
    Rin: That’s right.
Yuki: I’m trying to tell you Rin that I don’t always win.
Rin: I know, but you quit. I mean, you did get a hard start, so I understand.
Retasu: Rin, you had fun playing a character yesterday.
    Rin: Yeah.
Minoru: Yuki, what also made you quit?
Yuki: Umm, I lack fashion sense, so I wouldn’t know how to play right as a typical girly character.
Rin: I understand. Well, I did have few hard moments yesterday, but it was somehow easy to stay in character.
Minoru: We are really great actors on role playing, it’s just that we can have few weaknesses on what the character shoud be based on the actor’s knowledge. I don’t even know how to be deadpan because I lack sarcasm.
Yuki: You’re right. It is based on a person. So congratulations, Rin. You beat me of who plays the character the best.
Rin: Yeah. I knew you would have a hard time, but we learn about each other, regardless of how long we are friends.
    Retasu: Yeah.
Later, Yuki and Minoru went to Yuki’s house at her room, watching a rerun of My Hero Academia with Ryo.
    Ryo: So how was it?
Yuki: It only lasted quarter of an hour, and things didn’t work out for me, so I left.
    Ryo: Hmm.
Yuki: It was so silly anyway, and I didn’t know how to play girly. All I was thinking about is doing something epic like these guys on the show.
    Minoru: Interesting.

    Next Chapter: Yuki’s Offer

  • McJuggerNuggets Insane ‘Go Away’ Party!

This video is so epic! It has all the enthuasium I expected to happen!

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5o6Y-TC12r8&t

    Short Review:

Without spoiling, if you plan about how this party would happen, you could at least see something epic in the video, as the title says.

    With Spoiling

    ,

    ,

    ,

    ,

Jesse is really nervous about how the party is gonna end up since he kept a secret that he’s really not going to LA. Swift interviews everyone who attended the party, and the girl who played Soloman from MVE knows that he’s not really going to LA. It made Jesse nervous even more since she is just a kid, you know, kids are not good at keeping secrets. The people who knows the truth is Uncle Larry, JT (Jeffery Ridgway Jr.), Uncle Chris, and Tom. During the cake, Jesse is not in a mood so he cuts the cake in the wrong way. Wow! He has a thought of suicide by getting hit in the car, but did not attend to do it. Later in the announcement, Jesse feels the pain of lying since his mom and Aunt Jackie cried that he is leaving (which he isn’t). His dad still expect him to make his career on Hollywood and not home with Youtube. JT eventually takes the spot, provoking Jesse about his career on Youtube and Hollywood. Jesse is provoked enough to admit the truth, and Psycho Dad went rampage! Yep, he told everyone, including his family and friends from MVE, and they all saw how Psycho Dad acted. He did destruction, but Swift threw smoke grenades around the party and so it looks terrible. At the last minute, Lance Stewart came up. Jesse hugs him since he was so frightened. Psycho Dad sees it, and it looks like we are gonna have the complete misunderstanding.

This whole video made me laugh nearly the entire video, and the ending was so epic that the party got quickly got destroyed, along with the help from Swift. Oh dear.

Retasu: I’m finally back! Thanks for getting rid of them!
Minoru: They deserve a long break, in a discipline way.
Rin: I am happy that you got the new uniform.
    Takahashi: What about your homework?
Retasu: I’m glad Takigawa-sensei knows which homeworks they ripped, so he give me a pass and handed me recent ones.
    Yuki: Sounds great.
They see Eru walking in the hallway.
Minoru: Should we talk to her? She hasn’t talk as much as we do.
    Yuki: Sure.
They called Eru and she comes.
    Eru: Umm, hi.
    Yuki: Hey Eru.
Rin: So what kept you busy?
Eru: Well, just homework, and being a manager for my game club.
    Minoru: I see.
Yuki: Are you the only one working there?
    Eru: Well, yes.
Rin: Isn’t it all the work that takes you time?
Eru: Well, it’s no big deal, but I can allow help.
Rin: We are pretty much free today after school.
Yuki: Yeah, We should allow ourselves enjoy video games together.
Retasu: I agree. Wouldn’t you be busy to play games as a manager?
Eru: Umm, no. I just play on my Switch at my desk since not a lot of people come to my desk.
Minoru: All right. We should play a game that we all can play together.
Rin: Just don’t pick violent ones or ones that are hard to play. I’m not into those.
Takahashi: I got homework and I want to finish my project.
Retasu: Is it fine if I help you?
Takahashi: Yeah. Are you guys fine?
    Rin: It’s no big deal.
Eru: Just do what you believe what’s more important.
    Retasu: Sure.
After school, Yuki, Minoru, Rin, Shirou, and Leo came in to the game room.
    Yuki: Hey, Eru.
    Eru: Umm, hey guys.
Rin: Ready to hang out here?
Eru: I gotta store some of the games to the selves first.
Yuki: I’ll take care of one of the stacks.
    Eru: Thanks.
Yuki and Eru put games on the shelf.
They are at the TVs while Eru sits on her desk.
    Minoru: Ready?
    Yuki: Yes.
    Eru: Yes.
They start playing a multiplayer game with two co-op each screen, Yuki and Minoru, Rin and Shirou, and Leo.
Yuki’s character is a ninja and fighter. Minoru’s character is a space shooter, Rin is a magical girl with a staff, Shirou is a sword fighter, Leo is an armed keypuncher, and Eru is a princess alien.
They all are walking in the field, finding treasures.
The flying robots spawned around them.
Minoru: We are at their trap.
    Yuki: As always.
Yuki punches them and kicks them. Minoru shoots lasers.
Rin: Now it’s time for thunder!
She shoots thunder on few of the robots from her staff.
    They are cleared.
    Minoru: That was quick.
Yuki: Let’s see what the crate has.
She opens it and receives four Neon Pearls.
    Yuki: Four Neon Pearls!
Shirou: Good. We can all sell those for great amount of money.
    Yuki: Totally.
In the real world, Lia came in the game room and sees them playing.
    Lia: Hey guys!
    Leo: Hey Lia!
Minoru: We’re playing Open Fantasy Life.
    Lia: Cool!
Yuki: Have you played it before?
Lia: I wanted to, but I don’t have that much allowance to get the account.
    Minoru: Wanna watch?
    Lia: Sure.
    They continue playing the game.
Shirou: Our next stop is the forest.
Rin: A long road before the next town.
They walk and went in the forest.
Yuki: The sphere leaf mobs comes out from a tree, and they’re in a higher lever than our previous route.
Leo: We’ll see how strong they are.
They walk and encounter the mobs and they fight them.
    Minoru shoots lasers to them.
Yuki dodges their attack and decide to kick all of them.
Eru shoots rapid lasers to all of them.
Shirou: Yuki, do the forest also contains moving trees?
Yuki: Only in the hazy forests.
She punches the last mob and finished the fight.
    Minoru: Cool.
They play around for half an hour and Lia went to the desk. Eru puts her switch down.
    Eru: Yes?
Lia: So do you have any recent Tekken games?
    Eru checks on the list.
Eru: Yeah. I’ll hand you it.
She checks on the shelf and gives the game to her.
    Lia: Awesome!
    Minoru sees her helping out.
Minoru: I’m gonna be off of the game for a while.
    Yuki: Ok.
    Minoru went to the desk.
    Minoru: Eru.
    Eru: Yeah?
Minoru: Umm, I was wondering if your club is open for new members.
Eru: Well, I have two openings for the program.
Minoru: Cool. I may want to start joining to help you after school.
    Eru: Really?
Minoru: Yeah, I got nothing for after school.
Eru: Sure. I will hand you the forum for this club.
She gets the package and gives it to him.
    Minoru: Thanks.
Eru: Just sign it and you can return it here tomorrow.
    Minoru: Sure.
Yuki sees him trying to join the club as a member.
Minoru puts the package to his backpack.
He goes back to his seat.
    Minoru: I finally joined.
Yuki: Cool. I’m glad you did. It makes us happy.
    Minoru smiles.
In the game, they all went to a dungeon. A magical princess appears in the middle, and starts shooting glowing stars on all of them.
Yuki runs and dodges her attacks.
    She jumps and punches her.
Minoru shoots her rapidly with lasers.
Shirou hits her with his long sword.
Rin shoots lightning and Leo shoots arrows.
They all run around and the princess shoots multiple orbs at them.
Yuki launches a grenade and throws it with big explosions.
Yuki: That’s gotta be a big hit.
Eru waves her hands to create a supersonic to distract her.
The magical princess got weaker, and Eru has her ray gun on each hands and sends a rainbow beam.
    It becomes paralysed.
    Yuki: Cool.
She runs and kicks her hard.
The magical princess dissolves into sand.
It has a baggage of treasures.
Yuki: We got a big pack in the middle.
Minoru: It has cool treasures and clothes.
Eru: That is the avatar exchange pack. It’s new.
    Rin: Cool!
Leo: So who will swap the avatar?
    Yuki: That’s not for me.
    Shirou: It’s pretty expensive.
Eru: I might want to collect it. I may swap it to try out.
Shirou: Do you swap avatars frequently?
Rin: Eru’s been trying out to see what’s best for her. She was the flower girl and then a fighter. Now she’s an alien.
Yuki: I’m heading to the a club right now.
    Rin: Cool.
Minoru and Leo followed Yuki while Rin ans Shirou followed Eru to a Avatar palace.
Eru came out from the special room and showed Rin and Shirou that she’s now a magical princess.
    Rin: You look great!
Shirou: Is that the avatar you like the best?
Eru: Pretty much. I read that it can do physical and special attack, so I can learn common moves that I would use very often.
    Rin: Awesome.
Later, they pack up and shut down the games in the game room, and they went outside and sit at the bench. Only Yuki, Minoru, and Eru are there.
    Minoru: It was pretty fun.
Eru: It is. So what kept you guys bust last week?
Yuki: We had to deal a lot about Team Phase. It’s a long story.
Minoru: They beat up Retasu and almost got Rin. They’re bad people all along.
    Eru: That’s not good.
Minoru: Well, we’re fine now. I decided to join because I wanted to have an after school activity.
Yuki: And that you would have friends to take care your business more.
    Eru: That’s nice.
Yuki: What have you been up to, Eru?
Eru: I’ve been learning about programming and AI, so that I can make my own games later on.
    Minoru: Cool.
Eru: Thanks. So how are you two been?
Minoru: Me and Yuki are always having fun.
Yuki: We’ve been doing a lot of good plans out for both of us. We went to the game store for amazing game releases.
    Eru: That’s cool.
    A limo arrive and stopped.
Eru: There’s my ride. I’ll see you guys tomorrow.
    Yuki: Have fun!
    Minoru: Bye!
    Eru left.
Minoru: I think the game room is the only one I find to be interesting to work at.
Yuki: That’s good. After all, the activity fits you. I can pop in at times just like we do sometimes.
Minoru: Yeah. The manga club was good too.
Yuki: Totally! The one at Monday was awesome because we watched My Hero Academia.
    Minoru: It was pretty exciting.
They both walk home and had a good day.

    Next Chapter: Rin’s bet.
Rin wants to somehow prove that she can beat Yuki on challenges. Most of them, Yuki wins. Rin somehow made Yuki a bet of where they swap their lives and sees who sticks to their role the most. Rin tries to be like Yuki as a challenge as well as vice versa. Which person can stay in character the most? Tune in next time!

  • Ryo’s Channel 2 - Stink Bomb Prank

    Ryo’s Channel 2
Haruka is recording Yuki at the hallway on the upper floor where Yuki decides to discuss about her next prank.
Yuki: Today, I am pranking him back. My brother.
Haruka: So what did you got?
Yuki grabs something from her pocket.
Yuki: The stink bomb! Oh yeah!
    Haruka: Eww.
Yuki: I will put it on his room. Once I go in there, I will take out the cap and throw it in there and it will stink his whole room.
Haruka: Why are you doing this? Isn’t this cruel?
Yuki: You could easily get rid of it with few supplies, so it’s not cruel. I just wanted to get him back for pranking me on his first video.
Haruka: And what is the reason why that’s a big deal?
Yuki: I have done whoopie cushion prank many times before, but over the years, he’s starting a prank war on me by getting me now all of the sudden.
    Yuki heads to his door.
Yuki: This stink bomb is strong, so it can take some seconds to filth his room.
She opens the room and tries to open the cap. She throws it quickly and leaves the room.
    Haruka: That was quick.
Yuki: Yeah. He gets back here in a few minutes, which is a perfect time.
    Haruka: Does it smell horrible?
Yuki: Only a small one during my throw, but it will be worse.
    Haruka: Oh dear.
    They hear the doorbell.
    Yuki: There he comes!
They both run downstairs and open the door. Ryo is wondering about the camera.
Ryo: Hey. So what is with the camera? (points it)
Haruka: Just wanting to vlog you.
Ryo: Oh. Well, I just got back from my job.
He comes inside and puts his backpack away.
Ryo: It was pretty good today. I’m heading upstairs to show you guys about how I did my workout.
    Haruka: Cool.
They start walking upstairs, and Yuki tries not to laugh, but lets out a short hiss.
    Ryo: Is something funny?
Yuki: Well, I was thinking about how a vlog started off when I sat on a whoopie cushion.
Ryo: Oh yeah. I got you.
Haruka: She has dome this many times over the years.
    Yuki: Yeah.
Ryo: And I got you back, finally.
Yuki: Only for a video. You’ve got me a few times before, but you finally made it not predictable.
Ryo: Yes, by learning from you.
    They are by his door.
Ryo opens the door and he covers his nose.
Ryo: Eww! Why does my room smell so strong?
Haruka covers her nose too while Yuki leans on the wall, laughing so hard.
    Haruka: It smells awful.
Ryo: Yuki! Did you do this?
    Yuki is laughing uncontrollably.
Ryo: Looks like you did it! Am I right?
Haruka: Yes, Ryo. She threw a stink bomb there.
    Ryo: It’s awful!
Yuki keeps on laughing that she drops a few tears.
Ryo: Yuki, why did you do this?
    Yuki: Because…hahaha…you put a whoo…hahaha…pie…hahaha…
Ryo: Whoopie cushion? So it’s payback?
    Yuki shakes her head.
Haruka: That’s what she told me. I’m just a camera person.
Ryo: Yuki, can you stop laughing?
Yuki finally controls herself and breathes.
    Yuki: Wheww. I got you, didn’t I?
Ryo: How did you get the stink bomb?
Yuki: Long story. The smell is in the hallway. You better close the door, dude.
Ryo: Yuki. How can I clean that up?
Yuki: Just open your windows. We got sprays at the kitchen.
Ryo: Well, you are gonna spray them.
    Yuki: All right.
    Ryo: It’s my own room.
Yuki: I know. I’ll clear out the smell.
Yuki went in his room and came back and close the door with the used stink bomb.
Yuki: That is the stink bomb.
    Ryo: Oh dear. The smell.
Yuki: Don’t worry. You’ll laugh at it when you watch you new video.
    Ryo: Maybe.
Yuki went downstairs while Haruka films her going down.

  • Review for fan edit for Attack of the Clones (Hal’s)

I decide to give my review of a fan-edit for Hal 9000’s Episode 2: The Approaching Storm (Attack of the Clones)
Most fans consider the original film the worst one, even after Episode 1. The politics and the talking wasn’t really interesting, just like the first film, but adds cringworthy moments like the romance scenes and Anakin being a drama whiner. Not to mention, the CGI in the film looks more fake and uncanny valley than Rogue One, despite the time gap between both films, and most of the movie is blue screen. Many things had plot holes and didn’t made sense on several scenes. However, there is a way to rewatch this film and not hate it, and want the film to be as best as it possibly can. Hal 9000 Episode 2: The Approaching Storm has arrived in Holiday 2017. To me, this made the film from the worst to a decent one.
I would like to explain why this fan edit made the film better. I enjoyed some scenes from the actual film, but those scenes were made more interesting. Anakin is a lot less dramatic and whiny, and you really care about him more, and Padme is made to be at least more interesting. The romance scenes was edited well that you can see why they love each other. They used few deleted scenes that covers the better portion between Anakin and Padme. We see her family and it’s nice to see a family. I like how the whole thing about Jedis can’t fall in love was lessened, and only mention once. Anakin twisted the conversation that made it seem like it’s not important. The edits for both of them on Coruscant and Naboo are better. Anakin does not give a creepy stare or whine in front of her all the time. We get to see the fountain in Naboo and he and Padme discussed about it. The scene where they are at a field with lots of flowers and animals was the only scene where the romance seems legit, but with the other better moments added, it made you care more about them at least. They did kiss by the lake, the same scene where he DOES NOT mention his hate about sand. The scene was made more like sunset and they both slowly kiss instead.
On the investigation on the bounty hunters, I like how it was made without the silliness on the Zam Wessel chase. Obi-Wan is pretty much the best main character of the prequel trilogy, but on this one, his investigation is made more mysterious with better pacing. There is less talking fillers and had no other jedis being clueless about the missing planet, Kamino. There is no scene with younglings and Yoda about the missing planet, and I think a quicker pacing to find Kamino is done better. Obi-Wan went straight forward to went there to meet Jango Fett. He talked to Mace Windu from a deleted scene in the hangar about Anakin and since he is still a padawan, they need to made sure he is doing his job right. There is a less filler on Kamino or silly moments. Silliness isn’t always a bad thing, but too silly can be uncomfortable, but I barely found them on this edit. I’m glad Boba Fett was not mentioned that he is a clone, and that he isn’t as annoying as he was in the actual film. The small space battle is made more interesting. Also, Boba Fett isn’t a clone because it is not said.
Back to Anakin, I did wish him saying that Jedis don’t have nightmares are cut away, but there is no way to do that, but still have their relationship handled better. At the rescuing of Anakin’s mom, this made me feel more sad now that his character is handled better. It is sad at first, but on this edit, you cared more about how he feels. I’m happy that the scene with Yoda and Mace Windu was cut because they didn’t do anything about Anakin after knowing his dangered feeling. We still get the iris wipe to Obi-Wan going to a building where the droid factory is, and the wipe looks great. Most importantly, the scene about him hating sand people and blaming Obi-Wan for his mom’s death is entirely cut. We know his hate dialogue is a meme, but with the scene deleted, we’re sure nothing is missing with that cut away. By the time where Anakin and Padme landed on Geonosis, the droids stay at the ship while the other two are the only ones going inside the building. There was no droid factory scene, but we went straight to a deleted scene where Anakin and Padme have a meeting with Count Dooku, to set Obi-Wan free. He sentence them to death since they won’t join with him and that Obi-Wan is also sent to death with them. With this edit, it was made more understandable as to how they are sentenced.
I did enjoy the battle arena when I saw it as a kid. On this edit, no scenes with C-3PO or R2-D2 are there. The green alien who talks with a racial accent talks less. Even Jar-Jar has less lines at the beginning. We do see the clones arriving, and they cut out a dialogue for Yoda when arriving. Also, I may not notice this, but I do find the idea of the clone war at Geonosis interesting, even though it can look CG at parts of it. My best edit on that segment is they did not have Anakin yell too long after Padme fell. Obi-Wan only said to not let his emotions get in his way, and to think what Padme would do on her task. The edit looks better because it did not made Anakin uncomfortable to see, and all he mostly did is listen to him. On the duel between Count Dooku and Yoda is very shortened, to where they only use the force and Dooku’s lightning. He sent straight to tear a pillar to crush Obi-Wan and Anakin, so Yoda only uses the force on that whole scene instead of fighting, so he looks more spiritual.
That’s all I can think about from the film. Most of the edits are made well to where I find the film decent. I would watch this again, and even for someone who wants to see Episode 2 again should see this without the cringe. This my first time seeing a fan-edit of a prequel film completely on my own time. I heard most fans who are into fan edits say that the best prequel edit and for episode 2 is Hal 9000’s. The Approaching Storm seems like a better title because it’s the rise of the Clone Wars and also the Separatists. The fan edit did made the film better, and would be watchable if you decide to see this movie again.
Is TAS the best film and almost as good as the Original Trilogy? No, not quite, but I would say that it’s decent and is pretty much a successor to Attack of the Clones. It ranges from All Right to Decent, but I choose decent since I am open to good fan edits and wanted a better view for the prequels and sequels. Also, there is still some things that will never be solved and will still leave certain questions, like how would the Jedis still not see how Count Dooku is evil in the beginning, or why did Jar-Jar give the Chancellor emergency powers. A fan edit of a terrible film can’t completely solve all issues at once, but it has to be there to not have anything missing or cut too short. Yes, the CGI on some parts looks obvious, but they’re not that bad as much as Speed Racer or Mars Needs Moms. I don’t mind for this fan edit just to focus on the point of view for how the fan edit film change the pacing and improvements to the film. The own pacing and direction is mostly what would be a better film. The dialogues are less bland and show a bit more emotion.
What if this is the actual film in the first place? Assuming few more edits to the film by the main studio if this is the case, then no one would have the outrage of the film and wouldn’t be considered the worst. Hayden Christiansen would’ve got a better reputation and so would Natalie Portman. It may even be considered the best of the prequels if only focusing this fan edit, including Episode 3 in some ways. TAS does show most of the necessary scenes and add the better flow, so critics would’ve praise a bit more on the story as well as caring more about the main characters. The politics are still there, but it is a bit lessened so it seems to show more on the plot. Also, no one would’ve criticize the romance scenes. The problems in TAS would still be there due to the film itself, but it would’ve literally gone up by a grade and would’ve be considered watchable for general audience and maybe fans. Reviewers would say that this is the better film than Episode 1 and may tie in with 3 or better.
Is TAS a better film that The Last Jedi? Well, it depends on the fan because I don’t personally hate the film in any way. I did at least enjoy it. I won’t go too deep with Episode 8, but as a film, with film directing and emotions, it does a better job. The characters, if you’ve been seeing Episode 7, you wouldn’t get full answers to all the new characters. Rose and Finn doesn’t have a lot of romance scenes as much as Anakin and Padme in TAS, but they have more action adventures. Captain Phasma is cut too short. Luke is pretty much the character I cared the most, and unlike any prequels, we do see force projection, which I thought it was amazing for a master. Yeah, the characters in TLJ can be hit and miss, but TAS is at least average to good for me, except for very few like Jar-Jar. What both films have in common, even vanilla Episode 2, is the torpedo sound effect where no sound is played for a short time before an explosion is heard, and the new film is the longest. I don’t mind the porgs, and a bit less Jar-Jar is at least better. If you hate the film or really disappointment on multiple reasons, then TAS might be a better film for you. Some TLJ haters now think the prequels at least have something or better. Yeah, I get both sides about the debate on TLJ, but I still have no hate on this film, just a bit hard to not think about anything involving the hatred and how it’s handled since the film’s release. As for TAS, I would at least say that for people who are into fan edits, and want to find a better prequel fan edit and for Episode 2, this film is the best one for both categories. I am looking forward to see a guy named Ivan Ortega has an upcoming fan edit for TLJ. He;s been making it since Spring, and wanted to fix the entire film by removing the negatives. He has many footage of how he has edited each scenes and they’re on youtube. He said his rough cut is finished, so he’s doing a final cut that will be finished by the end of the year if you are into fan edits and wanted more out of TLJ in a positive way. A lot of scenes would’ve been useful, so he is adding them. That’s what recently got me to find the best edit for the prequels.
What about The Force Awakens or Rogue One? TFA seems to be better since the directing is better. However, the story itself is similar to the very first film, so TAS wins on the story only. Rogue One, maybe TAS has better character development as well as story pacing, but the new one has more action pack and space battles, and has the memorable ending.
I have no idea about the fan edits for Episode 1 and 3. I am looking for one that is the best by fans and what is best for me. I don’t mind anything that is referenced for the Original Trilogy. I may look into HAL’s Episode 3: Labyrinth of Evil. Episode 1, it is between Q2: Fall of the Jedi and HAL’s Cloak of Deception. Let’s see which ones I would end up choosing for both films.

All the comparisons of most software color corrections for the GBC, particuarly, Pokemon Yellow title screen.

On the hardware, Pikachu is not pure yellow like you see in Default Raw form.

    GBC-Dev

This one is from this developer from 2000:

    http://www.devrs.com/gb/software.php#pict2gb

That’s where some emulators used this for color correction, and it has its own gamma and curves on the grayscales. While the colors are the same on both Jeff Frohwein‘s Gameboy Hicolour convertor and VBA-M and No&Gba’s gba colors, they have different contrast and gamma or curve adjustment on the whole image, so that’s why they look different from each other. The former has higher gamma and curves. I personally use full range for better contrast.

On VBA-M, you can see that it looks too washout, just as explained above. I did a full range on that too. Before, the blacks are greys and the whites are more dark on GB/GBC than GBA, which is slightly less dark than the white.

GBC-Color, a new shader I encountered. Not made by me, but I believe Monroe from libretro did. It was based on the Gambatte with gamma correction on the color primaries, which looks better than Gambatte’s interpretation. I did adjust the white balance for this colparison and it looks slightly warmer and compares fairly with other shaders.

VBA-Color, it has an adjustment for darkening the gamma just like some emulators do with this color adjustment.

Gambatte’s Color correction. The shader version exist and used the same code as the software option. It’s on by default on the emulator. It looks the same, except since it’s a shader, I can use it on Sameboy and looks identical. On Gambatte, the white isn’t balanced, because the colors are at 255,251,255. That was the same on VBA-M and mGBA.

Super Gameboy snapshot is there to show that it’s more desaturated, even throughout the game in SGB mode.

GBA-Color. I showed three options, and I put Darken=0.0 setting since GBC games are not usually adjusted on the gamma for the original hardware, unless if it includes palettes for GBA like Shantae.

PSP-Colors, I threw it in to compare.

The Gameboy Interface has its own color correction before implenting the shaders I made on Libretro. Here is his settings from Color-Mangler shader:

    https://www.gc-forever.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=2782&start=625#p38593

NDS-Color is there to compare too and shows a warmer color than GBA.

Sameboy’s “Emulated Hardware” and “Preserve Brightness” are identical on color correction, bot both are identical in this screenshot.

BGB’s color correction is similar to Sameboy, and the option defaults to saturation=0.75 and gamma=2.20, and I just use the exact value to 1 on both to compare. BGB’s default setting made the images brighter and a bit washed out for less saturation and high gamma brightness.

On Conclusion, you would commonly see the Default, Super Gameboy, The GBA-Color, and Gambatte. The GBA, GBC, and NDS are around of how it would look on the reflective screen on first two hardwares. I would recommend using the aforementioned three shaders for the closest color correction without the shaders darkening the image, and Gameboy-Interface is good too.

To have the color space converted from the real hardware to sRGB, it would need to have gamma corrected on the color primaries to looks very similar without dark color samples, like Sameboy and Gambatte did. BGB lacked too, and like I said, setting the gamma to 2.2 may correct the color samples, but the image is too bright. .icc profiles are gamma corrected by default to look bright enough on color primaries on red, green, and blue, and even secondaries like Yellow, Cyan, and Magenta.

Edit 8/14: For gbc-color, it seems that Monroe made the shader before I knew, not HunterK.
